Beta status

Novius is in private beta. Six people use it. It is operated by one person, on one Mac, in Nevada. It will go down. Things will break. Replies may take hours. By using it, you are agreeing that you understand what "beta" means.

No warranty

The service is provided as is, without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. Nothing Novius says is medical, legal, or financial advice. Nothing Novius does is a guarantee of accuracy. Confirm anything that matters before you act on it.

What it costs

The beta is free. If pricing arrives, you'll hear about it before it applies to you.

Your data

See the privacy page. The short version: your conversations stay on the host Mac. You can ask to have them deleted at any time.

Acceptable use

Don't use Novius for anything illegal. Don't try to break it on purpose. Don't ask it to handle regulated data (Social Security numbers, medical-record numbers, payment-card numbers) — it will refuse, and it should.

Termination

I can end your access at any time, for any reason, including the system being unstable. You can end your access at any time by texting stop to your assigned number.
